I usually carry a revolver but have gotten to like the Glock 43. Had sort of an odd experience a few minutes ago. Dropped this loaded Glock 43 magazing from only about 3.5 feet onto a carpeted floor...AND IT BROKE! What the hell. The plastic broke at the top and the spring and follower launched across the room and all of the rounds fell out. Good thing I packed three revolvers with me.

Yup. Had a Vickers + 2 on there.

There's the problem. The spring in the Vickers put the extra pressure to shoot out the top.

Hey. I just bought a G43 Talo. if it shoots as sweet as this trigger feels (for a Block) I am gonna be real pleased. I'll be sure to not drop the mags.

You'll like it. I have the same one. Shoots great. Conceals easy. Fragile mags....hey, nothing is perfect :)

Holy crap man! Whatever else, that really sucks. Note to self: don't drop a glock 43 mag in a scuffle..

Note to self. Buy extra G43 mags.

That's unique, I've got a bunch of 43 mags in all different configurations Vickers +2, TT +1 & +2 and a magguts kit and I've never had any issues. Sounds like it was sad and lonely and offed itself. The wheel guns were probably bullying it.

That may be it. Glocks are generally tough, but it would have been three against one. I'll separate th revolvers nd semi-autos next time.

Now I want to drop mine from 3ft to see if it nets the same result.

Same here...

bigfelipe your Glock reliability dreams are shattered like this mag.

I'm good... I've run mine at matches with the various extended mags and spring combos I have. They all ran flawlessly. I figured I'd weed one or two out, but they all work...

Also I don't drop my magazines until they're empty... I have broken many a PMag by dropping them loaded or not at matches. Only GLOCK mags I ever broke were ones with plastic aftermarket extensions installed... That's why I don't trust them...

Contact Glock and they will make it right, I have had a few magazine issues over the years and Glock Inc replaced the mags or sent me parts to repair them in all three cases.

When the G22 first came out I was having feeding issues and Glock sent me new springs and followers for all of my magazines.

On another occasion I had a second hand G19 magazine that cracked at the bottom of the magazine where the baseplate snaps on to the mag, when I loaded the mag the spring pressure would cause the baseplate to pop off, called Glock and they sent me a new one.

The last time Glock square my mags away was when I picked up a LE trade in G23 and all three of the mags that came with the gun looked like someone beat the hell out of them, the metal inserts on the feed lips were starting to separate from the polymer, they had me mail my old mags to them and they sent me 4 brand new mags, I called Glock and told them I only sent in 3 mags and received 4 back and the lady on the phone just said, enjoy the magazines!

Have you broken the glock Pmags or AR mags?

AR mags. If they land on the feed lips empty, it's lights out. If you drop them loaded on the baseplate, they can just explode from both ends...

Haven't seen a good enough deal on Glock Magpul mags to buy any. I'm sure they're fine but I don't see the point. Glock mags are pretty much bulletproof. Just keep some spare springs on hand for your heavy use mags...

I have a glock 17 Pmags and a few 19 Pmags that I got for about 12 bucks each. I plan to make these my range mags. I've been running the hell out of the 17rnd Pmags for about a yr now and haven't had any issues so far.

I've just not been concerned enough to bother searching out a deal worth it. Between the price and shipping I haven't been able to get them cheap enough to care.

Guess this is why it is always good to carry more than you think you'll need. Just more postive reinforcement. Guess I won't make fun of my buddy anymore that brings a case of ammo for his AR when we head to the mountians for the weekend.
