Buffalo side matches

Five years ago it was a side match but has evolved into a pretty serious but fun bench type match. Plenty of nice rifles and friendly shooters more than willing to share their knowledge but be sure to bring your A game if you wish to take their lunch money. Three ranges hold these matches; Rowan, second Saturday, Durham, fourth Sunday and PHA, third and fifth Sunday.

Single shot or lever action rifles only in calibers produced prior to 1896. (Rifles chambered for 38-55, 40-60, 40-65, 45-70, etc.)
CR-PC has a quarterly buffalo shoot with similar rules to this. Irons only, lead only, 300 yards, life-size steel buffalo. Not sure why they rule out bolt actions but they're frowned upon.

Well this was the entire reason for the rolling block. While mine is having issues with the rifling, I tested my ammo in a frIends roller that was just relined and it shot 4 bullets into a hole you could cover with a quarter. So I’m really looking forward to mine when it gets back.
