C&E Gun Show at the Hickory Metro Convention Center 2/12 - 2/13

Pretty sure @cubrock will be there, amirite @cubrock ?
If so, I got some 6.5 Creedmoor ammo Id like to trade and Id also like to see some of Josh's knives up close. I never forgot him hooking me up out of his own collection when I lost my edc knife and Id like to see if I can support his little business venture.

hrm... i'm in gastonia this week and heading back to fayetteville in the morning... it only adds about 40 minutes to my drive time going that way...
but then, it also adds a gun show, and whatever gun stores i pass along the way, so it could add a lot of hours and dollars...

Yep, we will be there. I’ve asked Josh to pack a bunch of knives for you to look at.

Would love to trade for your ammo. We don’t have any 6.5 Creedmoor.

i don't do anythng before anything.
it's almost noon and i'm still at the hotel in my boxers (only recently put on) instead of doing my last day of work here.
 
that makes me sound bad... do be clear, even if i don't go in today, and i will, i'll still have well over 40 hours in this week.
I had to drive out here to cover for somebody who is out with COVID while the german govt sent an inspector in to audit 2 years of records. never seen the place before, but i was told to go get it ready.

of course its a weekend I have to work and have 10 billion things going on. Might make it after church sunday if I can.
 
I’m tied up tomorrow as well. Thought about trying to make it after church too. I’ve never tried it. I figured people would be packing up before I could get there. Y’all think 2:00 Sunday would be too late ?

Vendors will still be there at 2 on Sunday. Most will be there until the bitter end.
 
I'm plannin to be there Sunday morning late-ish unless somethin blows up or I get struck lazy.
I'll have an ALICE with primers and powder..

Great breakfast conversation @yard mongrel and @draco88 . We need to do more laughing like today. And I learned a few new things from you guys I didn’t know. Glad our waitress spilled the drinks on the table behind us instead in our lap. As for the show it went like this:

Bought a knife. Hen and Rooster.
Bought a cheap used small Old Henry knife.
Met a guy I knew from Facebook who makes EDC Sharpie self defense shanks and put my order in to carry on planes.
Also he is a Olight dealer and he is getting me a EDC small light.
Learned about business card transfer to Iphone/Android by proximity and will be placing an order next week.

Really good day. Nothing like friends from CFF. And everyone showed up wearing shoes in the restaurant.

@draco88 I’ll get his personal info when I pick up my order. He is in Claremont, NC about 5 miles from me. I think he said he sold 975 one day this week. I think he only ships once or twice a week. Guy is quite a marketing guru. He slips a pack personal lube in the order, stickers on the outside proclaiming semen sample, and a sticker about midget porn. image that package delivered by the mailman.

I can’t remember if I ordered G2 or tungsten.

Just got back. Back room was closed, a few regulars I usually see were not there. The good news is there seemed to be room to make the isles wider.
I bought a cup of coffee and a used reloading block, total spent $5.00 after admission.

Went this morning. Lots of room to look at things since it wasn’t to crowded. @cubrock hooked me up with a nice Arisaka type 99 and it was good seeing and talking with him for a short bit. He seemed to be doing ok even though the crowds seemed light. Sold at least 4 guns in about 45 minutes from what I saw.
