C&E New Date - Confirmed Winston Show Scheduled

If you really need ammo, it's there.
I did see some new guns priced reasonably, Rugers and S&W. etc
Lots of shotguns and rifles from companies I've never heard of.

The Coliseum did their best to make it difficult to get in to park. All the normal gates were locked. No signs to lead to the gun show.
I think they didn't want anyone to know it was going on.

The May date is the regularly scheduled Memorial Day show. The April show was shoehorned in when the city/fairgrounds notified C&E they could have shows again.

Any chance a member here went and set up for the show, today? Iā€™d just like to confirm that the show is actually happening thus weekend, before I drive over there in the morning. Thanks

@edwardyoung
I was at the last one (4/25). As ā€œrestrictionsā€œ have only eased since then, Iā€™d suppose this weekend is a ā€œgoā€.

Yep. We are here. It is happening. It is in the Annex Building/ice skating rink this time.

Thatā€™s my thinking, also. I just havenā€™t really seen or heard anything about it. Just curious. Thanks

Thanks, Steve

Well, C&E has never been much for advertising....

Keep us updated what it looks like inside.

@cubrock
How was yesterday? Panic buying or quasi-normalcy?

Slim crowd. Quasi-normalcy in sales. Nothing really of note to report.

Every time I stopped by to talk to Steve, he was two or three deep at the 4473 table. They might have just been waiting to ask him a question, but I never made it to him. Hope it was a good day for Steve.

I actually had gun money in my wallet this time. The few guns I saw that I was interested in were priced stupid-high. There was a 2 /12ā€ P&R S&W 66 that looked like the dealer drug it behind his truck to the show. He was asking $1275. He ā€˜came downā€™ to $1200. I still offered him $1000 for his $500 scuffed and pitted 66. Iā€™m glad he refused my offer. As much as I hate buying on Gunbroker and waiting for the Post Office to decide to deliver it, I guess thatā€™s what Iā€™ll do

It is never a bad idea to become a Supporting Member @ the CFF, or to post a Want To Buy (WTB) Ad here before wading into that dirty GunBroker water.
Good Luck Either Way

If youā€™ve got a short-barreled magnum revolver or interesting 1911, let me know. Thanks

Sorry I missed you, Edward. Would have loved to talk with you.

That 66 walked the floor yesterday. Guy who had it was "looking to trade," but he evidently sold it to the dealer in question. I had tried to get him to put a price on it, as I wanted to buy it. He wouldn't.

We did have a good show. The crowd wasn't as big as I expected, but we sold a number of guns and were able to buy some decent stuff. I'm happy and blessed.

Iā€™m sure the dealer pointed out all the obvious flaws on that 66 before he got it for less than half of what he was asking for it
