Is this gun show usually better or worse than the Dixie gun show? I haven't been to either one yet. Thinking of going today.
I love to go and look at everything at gun shows, but i never expect to find any deals. I always expect guns to actually be a little more expensive than i can find online. But I'll hold out hope that i might find a good deal on something. Maybe today will be the day i get lucky! It's much smaller, maybe less than half the size? Usually more 'junk', but I gotta say we've gotten some killer deals at this show before so sometimes you get lucky.
That's exactly how i treat my wife when she asks to go to Ikea..Don't know about the rest of you but, I'll be easy to recognize. Just look for a guy being followed around by a woman carrying his wallet in a lock box.
I will probably go. I will have to look and see if there is anything I really need, though.
Wearing my CFF hat from the Battery Oaks M&G.How will the CFF crew recognize each other? We need a secret handshake or hand signal or something.
Tiny show, they were pulling 25% of the tables out (empty) while we were there. Half the tables that were there were junk (candy, jerky, t-shirts, etc).
Bummer.
People are stupid. He think you were gonna run out the door or something? Sounds like you made a reasonable request I guess he just wasn't interested in selling guns today. Kinda silly for him to lug all his inventory to the show, pay for a table and zip tie everything down and then tell people they can't remove zip ties for any reason.Yep. I'm home already. It was better than a California gun show, but not as exciting as I hoped it would be.
I almost bought a Ruger LCP in .380. It looked like a good deal at 170 bucks. So, last thing, on my way to the door, I stopped at the booth. The little handgun was zip tied to the table. I asked the guy if he would cut the zip tie so i could put it in my front pocket to see how it felt (I asked this with full intentions of buying the gun). He said, "no". I said, "Really? I want to see how it feels in my pocket before I buy it." He said, "Nah, we don't like to cut the zip tie." I said, "Well, I don't like to buy your guns. "
I could hear him stammering as I turned and walked out the front door to go to my truck... I really didn't need that gun anyway.

"Nah, we don't like to cut the zip tie."
Plans changed and I did not go. Sounds like I did not miss much.
Since I am not an afficianado of purses, I will have to take your word for it.You missed out on some nice purses!
Having stopped at that booth myself, I can attest to the seeming quality of the materials used! I really liked the sectional round target, that was set up to spin only the portion of an otherwise standard-sized round target when hit. If I had my own private range at home, I'd definitely want a setup like it!If you like AR500 targets, check out this company, he was at the show today, robotic welded with Argon shielding gas,
power coated and free shipping. He has eight people working for him out of Michigan near the airport.
If I had land I'd buy all of them and have a range like Donnie D or Hickock45.

@Butter had a nice presentation of both at the Salisbury show. I think they wouldn’t rent him a table otherwise. What about turquoise and beef jerky?
Yep, that one! I like the concept because you get the satisfaction of knowing which part of the target you hit, without the hassle of having to put up paper targets to see said results.
You mean Man Bags? You missed out on some nice purses!
