Cabin in Boone area?

Looking for a cabin for 1 night in the Boone area. Just me and GF this Saturday night.

Any suggestions?

Also looking for something cool to do.
Waterfall, brewery, vineyard etc

I used VRBO to rent one in Boone for a big match last year. Worked out well. You might be limited to two night minimums for some on the weekend.

Gem mining. Did that when we went a long time ago. Wife got a 2 carat ruby and mom got a 4 carat sapphire made into pendant. Local jeweler checked the wifes when she got a chain to put it on and said it was an excellent stone and he could not get anything for her for the price we paid.

Mikes Inland Seafood for lunch in Boone. Not crowded. Old school seafood restaurant. Prices are very good. Second meal half price after the first meal on Saturday lunch.

Remember Mystery Hill? I guess to drag in tourist dollars they opened a covered outdoor venue. Tomahawk Hill, or some such. Best I could tell from 300 yards away on the road was a hatchet throwing range. Between Boone and Blowing Rock.

Nice waterfall in Elk Park, about 30 minutes from Boone.
