I have a new pistol lower from PSA, and I want to put an SB3 brace on it that requires an adjustable carbine tube.

So do I just need a carbine buffer tube? Would the spring and buffer in this pistol tube be compatible? I really just need to know if I should order just the tube or the entire assembly with spring, buffer, castle nut, etc.

Thanks!

Yes, direct swap. Castle nut, etc. should all be reusable.

One more question, are pistol tubes commercial or MIL spec diameter? And that only affects the outside diameter, correct?

I have seen them in both commercial (1.17") and larger than commercial spec (stepped to 1.25"), not sure if I've seen them in MIL spec. OD would be the only difference.
