Hey any of you guys who own the New Canik Rival-S have problems with your Mag sliding out. At first I thought my hand was hitting the release as I shot but that isn't the case. Would like to hear your feed back.

My MC9 seems to have that same issue. If I take my hand off of the grip completely and reach over the top of the slide and hit the mag release the mag drops free as it should. Idk why there is any difference, and that is not a reasonable way, or a way that I would ever intend to drop mags when shooting.
I have kept my slide locked back since my last post, not sure what that has to do with the magazine release, but, I have checked it periodically and it seems to be dropping the mag more freely each occasion

Man I'm gonna send mine back. I already started a claim. This is soooo disappointing. Looked for it for months and have to literally push the mag back in and rack the slide. Starting to feel like I should have just brought a cz shadow 2. I hate it because the rival s is the flagship. And I saw a set up close to mine for 500 less than what I have in the pistol and the optic
This doesn’t seem to be too uncommon. Canik will probably offer to send a replacement mag release spring and catch if you don’t want to send the gun back for service. That seems to be the most typical fix.
I put a quick clamp on my MC9 (front of f grip to back of grip) for a week and squeezed it pretty tight. As of right now, and for the past couple days, my mags drop freely.
