I didnt even know until this year. Case, made a knife with a pocket clip...

Hey, they make a spring assist too.

Today i finally gave in.

Spent $100 on a "kickstart" hunter.

Not a fan of the blade profile, but its sooo pretty. The whole package is gorgeous.

Then i played with it..... opens like a whisper. Sooo nice.

Oh, but i can close it by force with a finger... my slipjoint cases take more effort to close the blade.... wth...

Tap the blade spine on anything and the lock is no more... It doesn't lock...

Then the grind of the blade. This example from the factory. The entire length is rolled over... ffs...

I guess the nice part is i can defeat the lock with my thumb and when the blade closes on my fingers i dont cut myself...

After.the holiday, guess i get to test Case CS, but what the hell is this crap????

Case tosses out some real boners, but CS makes things right.

Honestly, I would check to make sure there is no debris gumming up the lock at the tang or spring. A good blast of compressed air may remove the culprit.

As far as the grind, I'm assuming you mean the strong wire edge Case leaves on everything. I can usually knock it off with just a little stropping and have a nice, toothy edge.

I’m expecting they will. I cleaned and checked first thing. On this specimen the back of the blade and tip of the lock are both overly rounded and polished. Like whoever, got too frisky trying to make sure the lock/unlock was smooth. It’ll never lock in tight.

I’ve got several Case knives so I’m familiar with what your talking about. This one is just bad. I’m sure I can knock it off though but it’ll take stoning.

Mostly my post was me whining. I was a good boy all year, didn’t buy anything frivolous. Splurged on a Christmas present for me and got a lemon:eek::rolleyes:
