During the lockdown I got back into CB radios after taking off about twenty years. While CB is no where as it was in the 70's and early 80's it's still fun to talk to my country neighbors. I'm using a Galaxy base station and a Midland 23 channel that I found still new in the box.

I still run CB's in both my trucks.

Setup in my offroad toy (Ramcharger)

Uniden 980SSB - LOVE the WX option, especially as I'm traveling.

Talk about some empty frequencies though. When I was a textile engineer in the late '80's, traveling throughout the southeast, ch.19 was NEVER quiet - even in the dead of night!

About my longest trip these days, is to Buffalo and back a couple of times a year. Most of those trips, I never hear a PEEP - even in the middle of the weekday.
