My daughter's boyfriend wanted to get his Camaro ceramic coated. He asked me if I wanted my Tacoma did. I had no idea what ceramic coating was, so I said sure. The guy doing it offered a discount to get both done on the same day.

Shiny.

Nice.
Post name/number for the guy that did the coating on your vehicles - I may give him a call to see if he is willing to drive to Clover.

Looks awesome. Foam cannon washes from now on

Edit. THAT IS ONE BADASS LOOKING TACO

Try to remember to give us a report on how it holds up.

I looked into it and learned that someone could make a decent living if all they did was apply the coatings.

I didn't know what this was and had to google it. What's the cost?

Looks good! How long would something like that last?

I had mine done, it’s kinda a sealant and wax but it should last for like 3 years. Just washed the car yesterday, and it sure is easier to wash.

The “serum” stuff is crazy expensive though, hopefully it comes down over the next few years.

You can do this yourself. They sell ceramic coatings from various suppliers. Just follow the steps and voila.

Update:

My truck got rained on in the driveway during my lunch hour and it got rained on as I drove it back to work. The parking lot had standing water in it. Before, if I ran through a measly puddle, I could see the effects of offset wheels and fat azz tires. Not this time.

Oh yeah. The mud flaps got the coating, too.

Sitting in the garage with no touchy touchy...

OK, so you don't have to wash your truck now, what will you do with the spare time?

Wife’s SUV was ceramic coated today. Hopefully, I will no longer hear, my vehicle is disgusting...when are you going to wash it?
Looks better than when we got it from the dealership 5 years ago.

I remembered this discussion. I’m now at a place to consider ceramic or some other kinda paint treatment.

Now that it’s been a year, waddya think?
How’s it holding up?
Wouldja do it again?
How do I find “a guy” in the High Point area?

See the post above.

Wife’s Lexus still shines even after driving it for 2 days in the rain.
Best part is washing the vehicle….just hit with water and a quick dry with the leaf blower and shine with a microfiber towel (well except I have to scrape bugs off the windshield and nose).
Eddie who @kcult recommended is so meticulous that I am hoping that I can do half as good of a job if I had to ceramic coat another vehicle.

Mine is holding up. There is something weird, looks like something got sprayed on it, can’t tell from 10’ away. The coating company said to take it back to the installer, just gotta schedule that.

Year?

Ok folks, I’m ready. I wanna try to convince @kcult ’s guy to come up to High Point. Anybody in the Triad wanna get in on the action? From Troy’s experience, it seems like we can bargain a bit if we offer multiple cars at once.
