Ok, here's the target for December: Billiards. Shot at 50 yards and printed on 8.5x11 paper Landscape.

1. One shot per ball. (except 10 Ball see below)
2. Shot must be inside the center white to count. No points if shot breaks color.
3. The "Ten" ball is the tie break ball. Shoot two shots. *
4. Total score possible 120 (ten only counts once for score)

*If there is still a tie after the ten ball two shots we can measure the group outside of each shot and -.22 to give center to center. Doing this in hopes everyone keeps trying to improve on there targets and not stopping if someone shoots the 120 high score

Normal rules apply for rests. No full mechanical rest. i.e. front rest connected to rear rest.

Have fun and hope everyone has a good holiday!!!

Looks like a fun target.

Explain the two shots at the 10 ball? Only one counts? But the second could be a tie breaker if it's in the white? And if two people put two shots in the white, you'll measure the distance of the two?

Maybe I'm the only one confused...

On the ten ball there will be two shots. At least one has to be in the white to count as 10 points. The second one you are shooting for a tight group. The group will be measured only if there is still a tie. Then who ever has the tightest group. If you have one in the white (10 points). If the second shot is touching paint that's fine. It is for the group measurement. Hope that clears it up somewhat.

Quick question about the rest rules ... I was under the impression (not sure why) that "mechanical rest" wasn't just the sled/1 piece front to rear type but also included the standard sinclair type rests (front only) as NOT legal and that what is legal are things like bags or bipods and that in the rear you could use bags, rabbit ears, ... etc.

So, my question for the community would be if rests like this one are allowed :
https://www.brownells.com/shooting-...nchrest-style-lightweight-rest-prod38097.aspx

or is it just shooting bags, bipods, ... etc. I'm happy to go either way but no need to carry a rest and a bag if I only need one of them.

Thanks all

Mike

I vote "yes" that it's legal. Such a simple rest doesn't provide any unfair advantage, unlike a rail-gun type fixture where all you're doing is pulling the trigger.

Here's what I'd call an ILLEGAL mechanical rest

I would still miss! I shot so bad today that I am not even going to post the pics! Only hit 2 inside the ring.☹

Yes that is fine. Some of those shake more then sandbags. Just no full sleds like @nbkky71 had posted. The very first one of these we did front rests were fine. Then some where along the line it seemed it was being done away with. But front rests are fine.

OK, I'll be the first guinea pig for this challenge.

H&R M12
BSA 8-32x optic
Wolf MT ammo
Front rear, rear bag

score = 106
The 15-ball was close, but I'm calling it "in" since the line into the color is a radial tear.

Here's my shots on the 10-ball

Very nice! What did you use to measure the 10 ball. I like that.

Finally made it out. Did not think that was going to happen this month. I have to figure out the "ontarget" program then I will edit and post group size. Program looks good.

My replacement barrel on my 455 isn't behaving. I'm going to try a pressure pad on it my next go around. I only had two 4 hits out of all of them on my one target that I tried today.

Finally shot this one today. Only did one attempt, but it was a fun target. Would've liked to have done it a couple more times.

Score = 71
RAR 22LR
CCI SV
2-7X
Cold!

We need a target for January. So if someone has an idea lets see it. I am out unless you want to repeat one of the targets we already did.

Whatcha think about this one?

http://www.archerytalk.com/attargets/AT_Bubble_Target_Nicecotty.pdf

I've had it saved in case I lucked up and won. It's evidently an archery target, but I think it would work for us.

My first thought was maybe 15 shots. Take one at each of the 10 blue areas...and then 5 bonus shots in the white area. Or, we could just stick to the 10 shots and ignore the rest?

@BigWaylon Works for me. Like the idea of the 5 bonus shots also. Did want to start the new thread?

What are the sizes of the scoring circles??
Big blue 8-point circle is ~2" diameter. The green 10-point targets are slightly smaller than a quarter. The yellow 12-point targets are about half the diameter of a dime.
