Once an item you have listed has sold, you can change the freaking prefix to "Sold".

It is ridiculously frustrating having to sift through a bunch of ads thinking you've found something you're looking for only to discover that on post #14 the OP said "Sold" in a post. So when I'm searching Rifles For Sale in NC, half the ones I'm interested in are already sold but not changed. But I don't know that until I've read a dozen or so posts into it.

Change the prefix, people! If you don't know how, ASK!

Rant over. Carry on.

Are you assuming my prefixes?

I don't recall specific names or ads. But if you've sold something, mark it sold where it used to say "NC" or similar. The little colored squares. You can change the square to "Sold" once you've sold something. Many here don't do that.

You're assuming TV watching................

Point taken.

I don't assume anyone's gender, prefix, or anything else. I just don't CARE. You can be any one of the fictional 52 genders in your own mind. I frankly don't care enough to identify you for myself. If that bothers anyone, so be it.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch.....

People need to change their/his/her/its ad prefixes once their/his/her/its item has sold.

I did, please stop assuming I didn’t.

In addition to this, please DON‘T BOTHER editing the title to add something like “Sale Pending”. Instead, you’re now able to edit the colored box to SPF. Once the sale is final, please go back and change it from SPF to SOLD. That’ll save prospective buyers (and the staff) a lot of time.

I used to be able to go to my content, then at the bottom of the page was the threads I’ve started tab. It made it a lot easier to find items I placed on the blanket.

It'd be cool if there was a way to auto change thread titles to "inactive" after one week of no posts by thread creator(In classifieds only), but I bet that would not be doable by the xenforo software. Probably would break hyperlinking.

In that case, the moderators would become unemployed. 😢

We’ve been bitching for years trying to get people to mark stuff sold, and to not bump their ad just to say it was sold. Good luck

I prefer the term “for the love of st Jude”

patron saint of lost causes.

We have those here in bulk
