Happening now. Started ~2:20 PM?

U.S Marshal's task force conducting "investigation" came under gunfire from "subject". Multiple officer's shot.

5000 block - Galway Drive in East Charlotte. SWAT on scene.

Arrest/raid gone wrong?
I can't imagine too many other reasons for US Marshals/"joint task forces" to be there.

Speaks volumes about the preparedness and skills of anything CMPD gets entangled in though, when a planned raid/search/whatever ends up with enough officers/people hit by gunshot that they have to start blocking roads off for victim transport and get the hospitals prepped. McFadden must teach them those tactics personally!

Reports coming in about 2 US Marshals fatally shot and other L/E officers transported to hospital with multiple gunshot wounds
If its that bad, they knew they were coming. Sounds like someone tipped them off from the inside...

There was two threads on this. Merged them both

Also, two more injured. Suspect was shooting down them from a second floor.

I hope the info im getting is wrong as well. But its usually pretty spot on.

4 officers dead per channels from local LEO. Wheres @ncpatrolar, he works there, I need to know he is breathing.
I don’t know where he is…but there’s a pretty good chance it’s not on CFF…

Hate to hear this on many levels. Joint fugitive task force, tried to deliver a high-risk warrant.

Expediting intersections and roads to a hospital is standard planning procedure, and I never like to hear when it's actually implemented.

Looks like the police are leaving, so the stand off is over. WBTV said one dead in the house, two "occupants" of the house detained.

It will be interesting to see what the warrant was for and if serving it in the manner that they did was worth the cost of innocent lives.

So, 3 officers were killed, all three from the task force, a fourth from the task force was wounded.

4 Charlotte officers were wounded

So no CMPD officers died, which is MUCH different than WBTV reported all afternoon.

Yeah, I know it's difficult to get facts in a breaking news situation, but telling the public that 2 of our officers were killed....

And after the presser, they did not do a clarification or retraction

Could there have been CMPD on the task force?

All I know about these "operations" is what I've seen on TV. But many times they have "local" officers assigned to these task forces
