Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone has heard anything from or about Hornhunter since Sunday evening? I was supposed to meet him at the food lion parking lot Monday morning at 11am for a trade deal we agreed to make and he never showed up and I waited for over a hour and called his cell and messaged him on the forum and his phone with no response and his phone goes straight to voicemail. I spoke to him on the phone Sunday afternoon because we were going to meet up Sunday but he got a deer that morning and had to process it and he was going to pick up his son and go hunting again that evening and we agreed to meet up Monday morning before he went to work on second shift. I have not heard anything from him since Sunday evening and I have not seen any post on the forum from him since Sunday evening also. I'm not mad about the no show or if he changed his mind about trading, but I want to make sure that he is ok and didn't have a accident or anything else. It's Thursday afternoon now and I tried to call him again and messaged him again with the same results. If anyone has heard from him or knows anything about if he is ok please let me know and I will appreciate it very much. Again I'm not looking for a write up or anything for the no show and I'm not worried about that. I just want to make sure he is ok and nothing happened to him or his son. Thanks and God bless.

I know and that's odd because I have been talking to him and so has other members a good bit before Sunday and I have talked to him and text him a lot before then too. But for some reason he fell off the map after Sunday evening. I'm just wanting to make sure that nothing happened to him or his son that he was supposed to go hunting with. If you or anyone else finds out if something happened to him or if he is ok please let me know and I'll definitely do the same.

I blocked out his phone number because I don't want to give out anyone's personal information but I just wanted to show everyone that he just responded to my cell so I don't know if it was because someone on the forum got ahold of him or if he saw the post I sent himself. But either way it's good to know that he is ok and his son is okay. I would want someone to check on my well being if I wasn't able to be reached. But if someone did reach out to him thanks for doing that and I appreciate it.

And good on you for being more concerned he was MIA and not wigging out on the no meet.

Shit happens and sometimes people can't help certain situations. I could tell that something was off because I talked to him numerous times on the phone and in messages and he doesn't seem like the kind of person who would just ghost someone like that especially when he has been on the forum for a steady bit to just drop off the same day that I last spoke to him and had no response from his phone or text or forum for 4days. I'm just glad he and his son are ok and nothing else happened because I was worried that he had a hunting accident or something and we all know what can happen when you get people that have never been hunting before and have no training going into the woods with a high powered rifle or muzzle loader or cross bow. They shoot blind into the brush because they don't want to wait for a clean shot and end up shooting someone. I know first hand because I have been shot and was hit 3 times by people shooting wild into the woods without knowing what is in the area. But that's another story for another time. But I would rather have a no show any day than have someone get hurt or anything else like that. But again it's not his fault what happened to him and I have no hard feelings about anything. I believe he had full intentions of meeting me last Monday morning but like I said shit happens.
 
While I commend your pro-actively checking in, if I were hornhunter I'd be more than a little irritated that you broadcast my business (screen shots of the texts) for the world to see. That's nobodies business but his.

A simple "hey, I caught up with the dude and he's fine!" would have served the same purpose.

Well for one I didn't put out his business or personal information out there for everyone to see. If you look I blocked out his phone number and only posted the picture of the one text message that he sent me showing that he was okay and not the other messages that hand detail information about him. The text messages are from my phone and all but one of them are my messages to him. But you are entitled to your opinion but I would think if you were missing or anything happened to you (hopefully it never does) you would want someone to let people know that you are ok with proof and not just take your word for it. But there's always going to be a nay sayer in everything. Don't worry I won't show proof of life anymore or post a concern for the well being of another member.
