One thing that I genuinely do NOT understand is that the same crime and victim occurred once in 2021 and again in 2023... WTF does it take that long to act? I know to gather evidence, but damn... isn't one enough?

Never forget:
It's called the Criminal Justice System, not the Victims Justice System, for a reason.
 
If I'm reading this right, local law enforcement made the case, did the work. Then the Feds swoop in and snatch up the evidence and the suspect to "Make an example" of him.

I wonder if we'll ever hear another word on this case.
 
Had a mid level mgr at the company I used to work for get pinched for same. He had encrypted images on his home and work computers. I think he was involved in internet trafficking of same. The feds put him away forever. Wormy looking dude.

Because I always assume the government will come save a diddler, figured if they get there should be nothing to save but salted meat, fear stink and a mangy hide, ASAP.

There’s a guy in Blythewood SC who’s now been arrested by Richland County and AG’s crimes against children task force like 6+ times recently locked up again. Why he gets bond as a danger to society’s children I don’t know. Sad part is, he was a photographer and my dad and stepmom had hired the dude and he’d been in their house to take pictures of my younger brothers



Also my son goes to a very well known summer camp designed around nature and conservation, heavily involved with SC DNR etc. A counselor last summer was arrested for several charges of XYZ to a minor, 2nd and 3rd degree. I think he was also a photographer so he was constantly moving around the kids all over the camp. You send your kid to a place full of conservatives and like minded folks just for these creeps to infiltrate.
