Since I've started shooting 41 Mag I've picked up brass and bullets mainly from people getting out of reloading or no longer loading 41 which means I've got older bullets. They're all in great shape outside of a little tarnishing and on a few of them, light corrosion. I've tried tumbling them in corncob but in a vibration tumbler they just sink to the bottom so they don't get cleaned. I've tried citrus cleaners and they help but not much. Thought about trying a sonic cleaner but I'm not sure what to put in it. Anyone have any tricks?

I think you would need a "rolling" type case cleaner (not sure what the proper name is.

Rotary tumbler...or sometimes drum.

I just ordered one today. When it gets here, you're welcome to try it. Denver isn't too far away. I'm near the 77/485 intersection on the north side of Charlotte.

Or just pay shipping and send them to me.

Lead or Jacketed?

Most are a combination. I found 2 people trying to unload older 41 components and picked up a bunch of old silhouette pills and then some semi-jacket, semi-wadcutters. For me, that are perfect for practice rounds. No corrosion on the lead if that's a concern.

You're probably less then 20 minutes from me then.

50/50 solution of vinegar and water will clean em right up. I have a wet tumbler but those bullets havent seen the inside of a firearm so it should come right off

Just let me know if you run out of other options and want to try the rotary tumbler.

Picking up some wash & wax and some lemishine tomorrow or Fri. Also grabbing a dehydrator from HF...so we ought to be able to get it clean, shiny and dry!!

Never thought about using a dehydrator, let me know how that works out.
