I was headed to the range today and stopped by Academy to pick up some ear plugs.

I came across these hanging from a shelf and was intrigued. I didn’t use one today because I was zeroing a laser on my wife’s shotgun and only ran five rounds through it with an already clean barrel.

Anyone have any experience with this product? Thanks.

From a legal perspective, this seems like a terrible idea. I’m curious what’s inside one though.
I bet in 25 years these will be on the ammo equivalent of forgotten weapons.

A bore snake is bound to be a better option especially economically

and lets you run a little oil down there too

I agree. Especially when you have a break open shotgun.

For a hunting or clay shotgun I wouldn’t even consider using this product.

However, for a semi-automatic or pump home defense shotgun that isn’t fired very often, if this works, I could see it being beneficial.

There’s all kinds of reviews and tests on this product on the net. Mostly positive or neutral but some negative.

I’ll test it out and see how it works for me and post back here.

I‘m curious about what residue it leaves in the barrel.

Well? 🤔

😂

I haven’t been back to the range since I posted that.

I’m like you guys, interested to see what residue it puts in the barrel after using this product.
