I'm still awaiting delivery of a CMC trigger I bought for an AR build. I've read online that some people notice some slack that allows the trigger to rattle a bit. It's reportedly only a 32nd of an inch, but I guess it's due to the anti-walk pins having just a very slight undersize so you can install them without a bunch a binding and the lack of any kind of set screw to tension the housing up post install. Have you experienced this? Is it bothersome?

it'sit's extremely slight and I don't care about it. Lots of cassette triggers have set screws to deal with this problem cmc's do not

This is reassuring. Thank you.

You can always shim the thing if you want to
That was the plan, but I don't love the idea because I don't want a shim to break loose under recoil and be floating around in there to cause issues.
Was thinking about a small dot of RTV underneath maybe.

With the floor of the trigger housing in the way there ain't much room for a good sized shim to go anywhere

I have over 15 cmc triggers with no issues.

I guess I have V1 of these triggers cause both of mine have the pins with the circlips that hold them in place.
Regardless, the triggers don't move.

Same as everyone else. I have several and I have never heard of such an issue, much less experienced it.

Always keep in mind. People don't post reviews on everything they buy. But if they do. Most of the time it's because there was some kind of problem..

It's the AR platform. Regardless of who built the part, if it's to spec, it's to spec in general.

The best triggers I have are CMC. One is a 2 stage 2lb and one is a single stage 2.5lb. They are in my precision 223 and 308. They're awesome. The rest of my ARs have Rise Armament triggers. The rise are good too, but the CMC are definitely a step above.

I guess I have about 10 to 12 now maybe more.
Several have movement after they are in place.
Does not really bother much and on the 9MM guns the amount of trash blown back stops the movement.
It is more a deal that you know it moves and that what bugs you.
But the movement in general will bug some people that they will not use them.

They know it is a problem, they also know that it exists. That and the fact several billet lowers have fitment problem.

When I ask they said just add some black tape to the bottom back.
I found that snot worked better. You know that crap they use to stick a credit card to the paper when they mail it....

You can get the same thing from Gorilla Glue.
Just place a 1/2" ×1/2" piece to the bottom of the metal frame when installing.

Their problem is they use a drop in system that has not locking spring for the pin and also does not use set screws or compression springs to preload it.
The tube that the cross pin fits in and the pins are smooth. They fit in very easy with no force.
Add to that stacking do to tooling the tube could be on the large side, pins on the small and recciever holes large but with in spec. There for some move others do not.
Also the finish/coating/paint comes into play on things like that.

End game it really does not cause a problem and you will only feel it if you grab the hammer or trigger and move it. And as said carbon and crap from shooting will tighten it up after a few rounds if you shoot supressed.
