Anybody have experience with one of these?

I had the Colt Government 380. Slightly longer barrel, has a barrel bushing and holds one more round in the mag. Probably the best shooting pocket gun I've shot. Now I have the Colt Pony. Same size and weight as the Mustang but it is DOA so it doesn't have a safety. Long trigger pull but very smooth and no stacking - like a nice revolver. The Pony was only made for a few years in the 90's. Pocketlite is the aluminum frame, they make the same gun(s) in a steel frame. In short, I like these guns.

I have the Gov't model and you and 6 of your friends couldn't pry it from my hands. When I absolutely can't carry anything else I carry the little .380. I can tuck it almost anywhere without it being noticed because it's so thin. The controls are just like my standard carry, my Colt Defender. I feel certain that 6, .380 HP's to the face will alter your thought process and make you forget what you came to me for...

I had one of the Gov't models years ago and liked it.Maybe I should have kept it.I traded it and ended up with a lever action that shoots .45 colt and .454 casull. That thing crushes lol.

All I know is he can shoot a lot better than me
My wife enjoys watching him, although she's not a shooter. It always make her laugh when he's hitting the gong and I scream at the TV...

I hate you!!!!!!

Lol,, I couldn't hit it with a rifle,, I can scare the shit out of it

I used to have a Government Model. I traded it and an SP101 in .38 Special for a Kimber Ultra Carry with CT grips, which is still my EDC. I still think it was a good trade, but I wish I still had it. It's what I carried when I wasn't carrying a gun.

Controls are the same as a 1911, and I couldn't even tell I'm wearing it. Neither could anyone else.

I still have a Mustang Plus II. It's the same steel frame, SAO, 7+1 as the Government Model but the barrel is a half inch shorter with no barrel bushing. There is zero chance I will let that one go.

These are keepers.

I like the craftsmanship but it doesn't do anything that a Glock 42 can't do more reliably and for less money. But, the miniature 1911 guns look nice. Keep thinking about the even smaller Colt Junior in .25 ACP. Probably just as a novelty but appealing for some reason.

So, you're sayin', if I just hafta have a Colt, maybe it's better buying a few of these? They're only $3.99. :)

I certainly wanted one of colt 380s for a while, just never came across one at the right price ,at the right time ,but since about 50 percent of the time I'm carrying a sig 938, it may be something that no longer fits my needs,

Jason, have you ever been asked to make a holster for that small Colt?

@chiefjason, if you put the @ symbol in front of the members name it acts like the bat signal for you, and I can attest that chief Jason made a fine pancake holsterer for my 938, but I'll let him answer for himself on the colt

I have, but I had to get the gun from him. That's was back before I had a lot of molds to work with. Looks like the Colt will fit one for the P238 fine, but it's a bit snug going the other way because of the slide. The Sig is a bit wider at the top of the slide, they have that odd cut on their 1911's and clones.

I have that Colt Mustang 380. My father gave me a number of guns and that is one of them. I also have the case and box. Have no idea of the age, never looked into it. I don’t shoot little guns well so I have only shot it once. Plus I have a Glock 42 gun for my work van that never gets shot.

This gun goes back at least 25 years I would think.
