Ok, Ill agree with you here.
First time for everything.
I havent dug into this guy's past, seeing his opinions before this incident etc. And I dont know that it really matters. People change. (ie: Trump was anti-gun in the past, he changed and now he's into it - Im not going to bash him for changing over time)
But I just think that anytime "we"/the gun community gets more members, especially ones with the REACH as a minor, or major, celebrity then thats good.
I think we need to remember, too, that many of us on here are from the south and grew up in rural, or at least suburban, areas - areas where a 'gun culture' thrived. Not everyone was that fortunate.
And many just never realize that they NEED one until they need one.
I can not fault a man for never thinking he needed one until he was facing down the barrel of one.
Would it have helped? Who knows. (I say that because if the gun is already in your face, and they are just asking for your watch or whatever, is it worth trying to draw? I dont know that i would, but that's just me).
I dont know, I'm just bummed out to see people saying stuff like, "He should have to wait to get it for as long as he didnt have it!" (not verbatim, apologies if I butchered it)...
But it's all opinions.
Best of luck to this guy.
