I know ive seen that NC changed the law and you can now carry in SOE, is SC also the same and allows to continue carrying or is it restricted? I am researching it myself too so dont flame me on it but need to know in a pretty quick way if anyone knows offhand. Thanks.

Ty sir, I was not able to find anything either from what I got searching.

BTW - if a FEDERAL state of emergency is declared there MAY be a whole new set of rules. Didn't have the time or energy to research that.

Wow interesting, I didnt even think of that. Ill be honest though, as a "good guy" thats knows I have no bad intentions, i cannot see myself NOT carrying at the time when you actually might need it the most. Even thinking they would do that makes it seem to me like they are saying "ok you can play with youre toys when everything is condition green" but when they might actually help we will prohibit them.

No state should be able to restrict carrying during a SOE. Bev Purdue tried to keep that provision but then tried to rearrange it to appease groups like GRNC.

The matter was settled in Federal court a few years back, which it was rules unconstitutional to do so. NC then changed their provisions of a SOE to reflect the ruling.

It wasn't a NC state court that made the ruling, but a Federal court.
