The large one is a Whitener cigar "cooler" (CHC-251) that I purchased online from Sams Club...it was $100 less there than anywhere else, but I think they found out and bumped the price up after mine came in.
It comes with 4 shelves and 2 drawers...all are spanish cedar.
Capacity is 400+ cigars.
Mine works great, and was purchased to go in our cabin once it's finished. That location will require the temp control of this unit, which was the main reason to get it.
Temp has been consistent so far, as has the RH (I'm using the included water tray at the moment).
I did season the drawers and shelves before putting it into use.
Only issue that I've had was getting rid of the plastic smell from the interior. Took several cleanings using baking soda and warm water. There was a God-Awful hint of turpentine on one of the drawers that took a lot of soaking to remove.
So far so good with this unit.
It will likely be used more for "aging" my cigars using lower temps and higher RH.
Got this puppy from craigslist ($25), a small wine cooler, but does operate thermoelectrically just like the one that's made for cigars.
I estimate that it will hold 150-200 cigars.
No odors in this one, but still cleaned it.
Removed the wine bottle racks and replaced with perforated stainless shelves that I made.
It holds temp fine, and the door seals as it should.
I'm still seasoning this one using spanish cedar planks, looking for some cedar boxes to prep for it.
