Was hunting staccatos and someone local told me about Cosaint. He makes some super buttery smooth 2011s (and 1911s). Went to his shop, he showed me around and even let me dump a mag out back of the shop. Ordered one on the spot. 1-2 weeks and I’ll have it.

Great to find a local guy that seems to be doing it right. Holds 20 in the mag.

They sponsored the 2021 Coastal Carolina Challenge and let people shoot their guns at their display. I was very impressed on how flat shooting the guns were and the innovation of the product. Several friends ordered guns and have been well pleased with them.

Yeah the owner used to work for STI so he knows his 1911/2011s. The guy who pointed me in their direction shot a staccato C2 and this back to back and said it blew the C2 away. I only shot one mag through it and was impressed enough to say “take my money”. I’ll post a better review when I get hands on mine.

That's a damn fine looking pistol. Are the grips plastic and wrap around the entire lower/frame? Looks like the trigger guard is integral to the grips. Not in the budget, but has me thinking about unloading a Coonan 357 to fund the purchase...

Nice.

Introducing the all new COS21 Commander length (4.25″) hammer fired double stack pistol in 9mm. This update to what competition shooters have used for years is focused more on the carry market. Specific features to note are :

  • Thinned out grip yet strong enough to handle thousands of rounds

  • New rounded cocking serrations without sharp edges yet allow a sure grip

  • Tactical hard coat anodized alloy frame

  • Full-size custom stippled polymer grip with texture to control the gun but not leave you raw after a few hundred or thousand rounds

  • Fixed ledge blacked out notch rear sight and fiber optic front

  • 28 oz. (without a magazine)

  • 2 each of the most reliable magazines on the market-MBX Extreme 126mm

  • Cerakoted in Tungsten and Black

Didn’t see this. The only thing they outsource are the grips. They are 3D printed. Didn’t realize the trigger guard was integrated into the grip but it appears so.

It's a 2011 grip module in a metal frame like an STI, isn't it?

yeah definitely a metal frame. Just unsure about the trigger guard. Looks to be part of the grip module that screws into the metal frame at the top of the guard.

I guess these are their single stack/1911 ish guns. Can choose dust cover style I guess? They also call this a "modular frame".
They sure look nice.

Yeah they make 1911s in 45 and 10mm and 38 super I believe.

Talked to Greg last night about my build. He is super helpful and awesome. He was still in the shop grinding away at 9pm.

Wtfffff I didn’t know this either. That’s amazing.

Whoa. Similar to a system they had on Daewoo pistols I think. But those were DA/SA.

That is a neat feature on an SA gun.

Just asked Greg. This is not available on the 2011 as of yet. Since it’s a new platform for them. It is offered as an option for 1911s as some people don’t want it.
