Couple Builds SHIPPING CONTAINER HOME With No Experience

I cringe everytime my wife clicks on one of their videos.

It started out interesting, but I have since grown to think they aren't doing it "by themselves."

Most likely, I'm wrong, but it helps my fragile ego to think I'm not.

What's the big deal? Quit your jobs and spend the next three years building a house.

The only thing they didn't do was add siding. Otherwise they did foundation, framing, plumbing, roof, electrical..... literally everything to build an actual house. They just made it take longer by doing it out of shipping containers.

have you seen lumber prices? the amount they saved on probably covered the cost of the whole project...

Get a router that allows you to lock out YouTube for selected users. 😂

I like those kids, she is funny as hell easy to look at. 🤣
One thing I really like about them is they are not afraid to show their mistakes. Unlike other Youtubers who make it all look like sunshine and unicorns when they screw up they show you and tell you about it.

I think they’re doing the work by themselves, I know they hired out the septic system.

Is this one of those "Hi! We're Mark and Kate! Kate sharpens pencils for a living, and Mark checks hamster exercise balls for roundness. We're going to build our own house, we have a budget of 9.8 million dollars." type show?

The only thing they really saved was exterior sheeting, siding, and foundation costs. They still framed the roof and exterior walls with wood.

Imma come sneak up and open the big doors in the middle of the night.

i just do not see any huge savings over their project and a stick built home.........am i missing something here?

Meh, they are entertaining, I've been watching since the beginning. I think I would have done a stick build given their design.

If everything they say is true, these two have been living in a 8x10 box trailer for 2 years, now with a baby. If he has learned as he want, he has done a fantastic job. If Youtube was around when I was their age, I would have been dangerous.
