Few classes ago a guy had a magpul mag crack and fail. I looked at mine at that point and found one of them had the same crack developing. I wanted to see how long it would run before total failure so I've kept it in the rotation. Yesterday at another class I ran that mag exclusively all day, just stuffing it back to full after each drill. Just over 300 rounds yesterday alone, and it's still going.

When loaded to 30 it's extra hard to get it to seat, but once in there it runs at any speed without issue. The crack has spread further down, you can see how it's now into the paint mark I put there when I first discovered it.

Wonder if it's covered by a warranty? :)

Good to know Pmags handle cracks better than CZ Scorpion mags.

I bet they would send you a new one for that mag, pictures, and the story of how it has still worked.

They said I could keep the busted one; no need to send it back. That's cool because I want to run it to failure just to see what happens.

Took a class today, another 329 rounds through this cracked mag. I used it as the only (rifle) mag, just kept stuffing it full from my dump pouch after every drill. Still going strong, with no malfunctions today with a mix of Wolf and three different versions of Tula. Ah, plus one actual brass cased round I found on the ground at the range.

Nope. Well known issue, many people have to file them down to drop free on that pad that bumps out. PSA sold some with looser fit for the Scorpion for a while, but after finding out it hurt reliability in the AK-V they never did another run. I’m not sure how newer runs function.
