I took my Ruger 1022 to the range today. I have changed out the stock and barrel. The barrel is a Ruger heavy fluted and has a threaded end. Without the can, I was shooting about < 2 MOA group at 50-yards. Then I put the suppressor on the gun, my shots were on a line (elevation good) but the windage was about 6" at 50-yards. Any ideas what might be going on?

Yes. You put the suppressor on.

Yes. put the suppressor on.
The 300 BO that I shot today was with and without the suppressor and the group opened up maybe .5 MOA but not 6". Wondering if there was something on the threads causing the string.

For the record- can your baffles be indexed?
For example, many mono core cans can have the core spun inside the tube. (Or on a booster)
This will allow a slight to significant POI change that is repeatable with index marks.

It’s the black magic of barrel harmonics. If the can was snug to the shoulder (or QD mount), dirty threads shouldn’t really matter.

You can buy two identical barrels and cans, and have the silencer open groups up on one and tighten them on the other.

And to clarify…

I read your initial post saying the group shifted 6”, not opened up from ~4” to 6”. What actually happened?

If you are looking a a bullseye target, then go to the 3:00 and 9;00 positions in line with the bullseye, the hits were on that plane and from left to right about 6" (3" on each side of the bullseye)
