Dang. I saw somebody post this on ARF in the last week:

ETA: I filed my renewal for CC on 6/28/2021. I permit was renewed on 1/25/2022

Guess running way past the 90-day mark isn’t out of the ordinary. And I assume we still can’t submit the renewal further out than 90 days?

Mine expires in July, so I have a reminder set for April to submit.
 
As I’ve posted elsewhere, I was somehow able to convince the nice DCSO lady to book my appointment early. I called 5 or 6 months before expiration and she gave me an appointment for the 90th day before.

For renewals we don’t even do appointments anymore. It’s all online. They even mail it back once approved…no longer going to pick it up.
 
I got my renewal notice in mid January for May 6th expiration. With no appointment I stopped by the Sheriff's office today, filled out forms on a provided IPad and paid.

The nice lady told me 6-8 weeks and I should have my new card in hand.

I was talking with a lady co-worker at my PT job that also works in the Sheriff's Dept.handling CCW s.She says that she does the Sheriff's part of the application in a matter of minutes,but the hold up is with the state mental health part of the app.She states the state has been taking 30-45 (closer to 45)days to process these .
 
Called in probably October for an appointment in Forsyth county. Had the apt Dec 7. Just received my approval today.

Just got a text saying that my "CCW" and an email saying my "Concealed Weapons Permit" is ready for pickup. I haven't listened to the vm yet.

29 days and I apparently have a very exclusively special secret license now. 🥳
 
End of Sept or 1st Oct last year submitted my renewal online with Brunswick County. And then snail mailed my notarized copy in from UAE (OCONUS). That took another 3 weeks to get there. Received the new CHP two days after I retuned back from leave in Nov 25th or so. Thats 30-60 days depending on start date. Have a good friend in Charolette/Meck county that submitted his in Aug and just got his back early March. Youngest son just submitted his application Monday and now his wait in Brunswick county starts. Wife waits me to go with her to her CHP class when I come home in May.

I turned mine in on 12/10/21 in Mecklenburg. I still haven't gotten my new one!
