Yellow/Deer Fly trap.

Real simple. Hang a plastic bucket covered with sticky coating (Tangle Trap) with some string running through the middle down to a sign or whatever you have that will move in the breeze. They are attracted to movement.

I get the stuff in a can with a brush instead of the aerosol. There are a few other brands out there so do a search.

Flat black color (like a truck mirror housing) on the container seems to work well too. I walk around the yard and try to find a spot where the little bastards are thickest. I have 3 traps out now.

My houses is in the middle of the woods. 100’ before I get to the driveway I’ll have a swarm of them around my black review mirrors.

They do love those mirrors. Wear a black shirt in that area and see what happens.

That’s almost the only color I wear, unless flannel is over it.
Too hot for me to wear dark colors in the summer. All my dark shirts are packed away in the spring. I'm outside in the sun most of the time and a white shirt makes a world of difference in the sun/heat.

My white shirts get filthy. My work shirts are black, I’ll frequently do outdoor stuff after work when I’m already dirty.
