2-part question here
I can shoot pretty far into my woods from by back porch. My plan is to clear a shooting lane about 200 yds into the woods and plant a little food plot at the end of that lane. I'm also going to put up a ladder stand down there to bow hunt.
My caveat is, my neighbor has chickens that run rampant. They really don't bother me that bad but I want cover my bases in preventing them from destroying this food plot prematurely.
Is there a specific seed or attractant that chickens won't want? If not, anyone know of a feeder that is accessible to deer and not chickens? Worst case scenario is I start "hunting" chickens and just fill the freezer with poultry.
