Dental care

I had posted this in off-topic, but thought I’d add it here as well. I’m not a “prepped” guy, but I always keep stuff handy out here in the country where we lose power or get flooded by hurricanes. I’m former USMC and Army, spent a lot of time overseas where they don’t have Modcons.
If everything goes bad, sanitation and med issues will kill more people than bullets will.
Dental care will be non-existent.

“Btw, forgot to add this earlier and I’ll def post in the prep thread. I had a tooth extraction and a crown done on Tuesday ( yes, on Valentine’s Day). My wife told me to use clove oil a couple of years ago on a filling, and it totally worked for pain and sensitivity. You just rub a little on the gums and tooth. Totally worked this time as well!

Clove oil works wonders for dental pain !! I’ve included it in my kit. A small bottle may help you or someone you love out of a lot of pain.

A tea bag helped the clot/pain after the extraction as well.

There will be dentists but the old days of hanging bloody rags outside a barber/dentists window might be a thing again.

I got my eyes fixed 5 years ago (prk) and need to do a bit of dental work myself. Redo a crown and now a second one.... Ugh

You can get an 'emergency dental kit' from any pharmacy, and places that sell camping/expedition medical supplies also have them. Clove oil, oragel, oral lidocaine, they all work well to numb the area.

well, dental care is first on my list for getting things "right" before the zombie apocalypse.
2nd is i still have my appendix and tonsils, so removing them might be in the future.
3rd is more cheap (Zenni) eyeglasses. no Lasik for me.

This is fact many don't realize. I used to cover it in my radio broadcast.

Fractionated coconut oil held in the mouth around the swelling also does wonders. Even had a dentist recommend that once. Your wife will have some if she does oils.
My wife is also heavily into doTERRA and is currently working on an oils for prepping project with a Blue Diamond. (Your wife will know what that is.)
