The good stuff starts at around 4 minutes. But, basically the cops show up thinking he is making homemade suppressors, they have all his purchase records. Just be careful big brother is watching what we purchase.

 
No doubt there’s some algorithmic shadiness at work there.....if this is the new norm I can’t wait to see how the lawsuits play out.
 
So, BATFU or FBI sends DHS flunky to interview feller based on NSA data hit, and he gets a local cop to accompany him. No one, not even local cop, does any police work to investigate, or if'n they did, they didn't let the results preempt the visit. BATFU and FBI think it's best to send someone to visit, since they have no limitations on their budget, and DHS is looking for things to do. Afterwards, diesel mechanic veteran doesn't know if the case is closed, because it isn't... DHS flunky files his trip report, and BATFU & FBI behind the scenes keep watchin' an' waitin'.

Diesel mechanic veteran shoulda stayed on the porch an' tol' 'em, "No warrant, no answers. Bye bye!"

They need to do it right. If they think it's worthy of a road trip, but it's not worthy of a warrant, then they should have stayed home.
 
Downside for some of us of owning Class II firearms... ATF can come visit anytime they want...

I’ve been intrigued by this since the first video I saw on the topic. Aside from the questionable legalities, I always worried I’d get dirty oil all over my targets. :D

Need to put these guys to work helping arrest these Rioters, since they don't have anything else more productive to do.

If they come to your farm give them a shovel and a Gatorade and put them to work.

Or... the govt is using tech that can let them do this...
Shot spotter technology said some gunshots happened at an apartment building. cops searched the roof of the building and found brass. using their phones - cops ran a list of all apartment residents, checked it against a list of outstanding arrest warrants, got a search warrant. Then they raided her and arrested 3 people total for possession of 2 guns.

Noticeably absent from that story was why 3 people got arrested for 2 guns, if the guns had anything to do with the shots fired, if they were actually guilty of anything, and why the lady had an outstanding warrant (murder or because the court forgot to register a paid parking ticket?). But honestly, the cops wouldn't know the details at the time either, but a search warrant was obtained and arrests were made based on really crap evidence.
