Wasn’t quite sure where to put it, but has anyone seen this Ammo Squared before? Worst parts of Bitcoin, rolled into Ammo.

It's like the metals storage game, you 'own' some and hope that they send it to you when you want it vs. going out of business and leaving you with nothing.

Could work for dollar cost averaging or caliber conversion when times are good, seems like it would fall apart when times are bad and there is a 'run' on ammo. See 'every banking crisis ever' for examples, without insurance.

The caliber conversion was about the only interesting part.

On the flip side, it’s a great way to build a doomsday cache for free. When shipping and digital communications collapse you just get the ammo…

Oh no, UN troops marauders are headed this way. Let's hope the UPS truck outruns them so we won't run out of ammo.

I think he means the business running the cache for people gets to keep all the ammo that’s there when things go tits up. In the mean time you profit off the business, when things fail, you keep all the ammo on hand

Yup.

This is also the kind of stuff that gets forgotten about, and there’s probably some sort of maintenance of the account, so you probably take back a certain amount of ammo/value regularly.

Sounds like a left wing scam operation.

You know what I'm not seeing? Pallets. There should be pallets of ammo. What they're showing is about what 3 or 4 members here already have? ;)

Makes me wonder if it's a honeypot.
A way to identify people buying thousands and thousands of rounds, and their friend, and the type of ammunition kept helpful for identifying types of guns.

I have been tempted to try this. Many reviews of this on you tube (mostly positive). I just don't like a recurring charge on my debit card each week or month, I have enough of those already.

Scam. Its like that wine vault thing or the bank for that matter. Only a fraction if any of that stuff actually exists.

It looks like you have to buy ammo through them, at their retail price, so they get the benefit of wholesale cost and bargains. They are just a retailer with a generous return policy and delayed shipping option. Not for me.

I think it’s pretty smart on their part. Convincing customers to “invest“ in their company by paying an average market price while not actually getting their ammo. I’m assuming their strategy is to try to buy huge volumes well below the average market price with a pretty big warehouse. Or maybe a small warehouse or no warehouse at all!

Every person here knows if they’re disciplined, they can save the money themselves and buy their own ammo when prices are low. Might be reasonable for someone who lives in an apartment or a small square footage house with no storage. I guess your plan then would be to buy from them on big on price dips and have them ship you your regular, shooting them out on a regular basis.

I don’t like how it doesn’t tell you the manufacturer either (unless I’m missing it). I guess a lot of folks who do this won’t know or care the differences but pay average retail, I’d rather get what I know will feed good and shoot accurately.
