I picked up a six-pack of 3" AR500 single-hole gongs and plan to try them out tomorrow. I'll be shooting them with 7.62x39 at 100 yards.
Any ideas on how to set them up? The stand needs to be relatively durable but lightweight; the fewer parts the better but easy enough to replace pieces that get damaged; and portable enough to fit in the trunk of my Ferrari (Italian for Camry). I'd like to have at least three gongs attached at the same time.
2x4 with three holes drilled for carriage bolts, kind of like a traffic light pattern (I'm leaning towards this, as I already use 2x4s and CTS Toppers for my larger gongs)? A-frame? Something else?
Thanks for the input!
