DIY silnylon PU4000 hammock tarp

Prepping for my trip and making some ultralight gear. Used my Amazon tarp for the template. Roughly 11.5’ long and 55” at the side tieouts.

Silnylon PU4000 1.1 oz for the body.
1/2” grosgrain ties
Whoopie sling, loops, and titanium hook for the ridge.
Loopalien tie outs for the corners.
Titanium stakes.

Upgraded the hammock with amsteel loops and shackles.

I’ll post weights in a bit. I’ll post the ponchos when they are finished too.

I meant to weigh it before. But it’s drying from the seam seal so I’m a bit stuck right now. It’s light though.

total weight with suspension and stakes is 25 oz. But that is also with extra web straps for the tree. The slings are a bit short. old tarp is 30 oz. biggest difference is packed size.
