I got yelled at by a little old lady 30 years ago in a little mountain motel lobby outside Black Mountain NC, because my three year old son had a two dollar, all orange plastic lever gun that was about a foot and a half long, looked like a squirt gun, along with his cowboy boots and cowboy hat.

I had the pump shotgun, called The Enforcer.
It was swell. It only fired once per pump, but you pumped it, and then could wait to launch a stinging deluge of water with a single trigger pull.

I had either the m16 version, or a knockoff. felt great to play with. but it sucked as a squirtgun, and the little electric motor "eeeerrrrtt-ppputt eeeerrrrtt-ppputt eeeerrrrtt-ppputt eeeerrrrtt-ppputt eeeerrrrtt-ppputt" noise it made was pretty meh.

We used to set up the targets in both the front and back yard and throw them over the house. "Incoming"!
