Don’t worry the cops have this hardened criminal under control

87 year old tased because, well, not sure.
Because
An 87-year-old woman with a knife still has the ability to hurt an officer,” Chatsworth Police Chief Josh Etheridge told the Daily Citizen-News of Dalton.

Their excuse:
“There was no anger, there was no malice in this,” Etheridge said. “In my opinion, it was the lowest use of force we could have used to simply stop that threat at the time.”

All this caused because:
Etheridge responded along with two other officers Friday after an employee of a local Boys and Girls Club called 911 to report a woman with a knife was walking outside and would not leave.

Thugs and bullies. Whose the threat in this picture? At her age, that could have been considered an act capable of grave bodily harm. Of course the "state" thugs are exempted from this.

This is another... We investigated ourselves and found we did nothing wrong.
Same comment was made and applies to the thread I just posted about Chicago PD raiding the wrong home with a bogus warrant that seems to have disappeared.

Sounds like Arab last name.

I think she should get to tase the entire police force, everyone no matter what their position.

My mom's go to around the house knife was a thin bladed 8" butcher knife. She used it for everything, in the kitchen or in the garden. I still have it.

"Put the flowers down!"

When dogs attack people - be they young or old, male or female - the animal is put down.

When sheepdogs attack the People, they are cleared by their buddies of wrongdoing and get a couple days of paid vacation.

One solution fixes its problem, the other perpetuates it.

At some point, We, the People are going to have to choose.

This is weird... using 911 to tell someone "Get off my lawn!"

I wonder if the 911 caller talked to her first... or just called 911 as soon as they saw her on their lawn.

But..... but..::. But not all cops are bad. You can’t judge the whole by the actions of the few....

They are only protecting themselves

They have families also

*insert whatever excuse here*

In ALL of my personal encounters with the media, the story NEVER reflect reality. It's always off by some degree--some more than others. But it's still off.

I don't buy the "she was just cutting flowers and doesn't know the Engrish" line. I haven't lost all faith in cops that they can't even tell the difference between an old lady cutting flowers and someone deranged and threatening with a potentially deadly weapon.

So you are saying that all cops are bad? Just want to be sure that I am reading your post correctly.

They might have rolled SWAT had she been brandishing hedge trimmers.
