Dozens injured by shootings in Texas towns, authorities say; 2 suspects sought

Let’s ask the police what they think of universal background checks. Before they answer, explain to them that universal background checks will be available at any police/sheriff/FBI/etc. office anywhere in the country and at no cost to the parties doing the transaction.

Now, will UBCs make so much difference on the street that they are worth putting this level of resources on the issue?

There are, without a doubt, people who are truly mentally ill. There are also people who are simply evil. Some want to say they have mental health issues out of convenience. Others say they have mental health issues because they want to avoid discussions on the nature of good and evil. Some want to avoid discussions on the effect of child rearing on such individuals, as it gets in the way of the narcissism of our society.

Which was this guy? Mentally ill, or simply someone with evil intent? I doubt we will ever know, and that does good service to none of us.

FBI Special Agent Christopher Combs said the shooter's home was "a very strange residence" that reflected his mental state.

Interesting that an FBI agent can determine the mental state of a dead man.

I may not have any info either, but I can take a pretty good guess that I’d put betting odds on that it didn’t involve any process that a background check law, universal or otherwise, would address.

Edit to update. Just on the propaganda box, “he bought his assault style weapon in a private transaction”. Any guesses as to where they’re going to try to go with this? Anyone notice how specifically targeted each of the recent shootings has been towards a specific thing the communists don’t like? Foil hat time?

I know exactly where they are going with this. Private sales banned. Must have a registry.
