Dragnet in Charlotte for theft (Cat. converters)

in 1979 removed the entire exhaust system from 4x4 dodge power wagon long bed to install headers, etc... retained that system in shed...
Dodge truck long gone.... rekun a criminal now :(

Pretty sure I just read that the state just passed a new law making possession of a catalitic without documentation that you own a matching vehicle illegal.

yep, here it is.
I don't like that. That's passing into more cracking down on people ignoring the epa. Lots of people happy with out their cats and there's money in facilitating their adoption. My dead cat is still sitting in a shed in pieces beacuse it ain't one worth anything.

So it sounds like they're saying, remove your cat to prevent it's theft, just document the process.

Highly doubt your 79 truck had a cat on it.
Dont make yourself a 'victim' now

it was a half ton and "had' unleaded restrictor in the fill nozzle, so pretty sure it had a cat.

I'm somewhat disturbed that you had one of the most indestructible pick-up trucks ever made and sold it.
