This drain is gurgling every time we flush a toilet.
I'm thinking something outside in the sewer line is frozen causing a restriction making it suck air. It started with the cold.
Ideas? My thoughts are it's going to self correct with the warm up this week.

Glug glug glug at a drain is a sound that my parents sewer system always made when something major was wrong outside

I too would go with self correct with thawing with the caution that self correct can turn into "sewage all over the floor" in a very short period of time.

Running hot water down the drain might accelerate any thawing.

Is @Tim s Step dad there

+1 for @Catfish & @Button Pusher 's replies.

Water descends, but replacement air can't come in from above/through vent. So air has to gurgle past the descending water from below (or water stops draining from higher pressure below & vacuum/lower pressure above arguing with gravity).

Just had an issue with my SIL's washer drain when the cold snap hit. Fortunately, I caught it right when it happened because I was right next to it working on her dryer (also with a cold snap related problem).

The drain is inside an outer wall, so the drain trap partially froze. Found out when the washer went into drain cycle and water shot up out of the drain.

I stopped the washer, pulled the drain hose, and poured a few bottles of hot water down the drain to melt and clear it. Worked fine afterwards, though I check that drain every day before the first load now, untimely this cold snap goes away.

If you're problem is related to this cold snap, try a spell of running a significant amount of water down the drain somewhere to see it it helps. Like a nice, long hit shower or bath for example.

Then see if the gurgling issue is improved.
