EDC Backpack

Love that clear kydex
I bought several sheets of it on clearance several years ago. Never got around to using any of it. When it came time to make a pack holster for that G43 I remembered it. It looks nice. I may make a few others with it soon.

I recently found a great deal on a mystery ranch district 18 bag. It's in my car with all sorts of stuff. Very well made and I really like the organization and functionality

I've been eyeballing the Eberlestock bag, Cherry Bomb (Which is on sale for a STEAL right now)... but I hear the laptop portion is super restrictive.

Now I'm looking at the 'SwitchBlade' backpack.

Anyone using these bags?
I bought the Switchblade.

It's expensive but magnificent. I've been 'work testing it' the past six months and it's been excellent.

I'm ready to get one, or convert this one, to a full time truck pack.

On another note, I've two of these that I use as a 'gun bag' when I'm not carrying for whatever reason.

Such as going into work, or to the gym, etc. (For leaving in the vehicle)

If I'm not wearing my gun, the holster and all is in the big pouch. And I've a couple spare mags strapped to the outside. And then I have a basic 'survival' kit filling the rest of the pouches in case I ever break down.

Yeah, kinda screams 'I've a GUN!', but I keep it hidden. And if poop ever hits the fan and I need to start walking, I can sling this cross body and still have access to my gat.

Im sure you know this already but make sure the bag is out of sight. Either in a trunk or a blanket tossed over it. There have been a ton of smash and grabs that Ive been watching on reddit.

Agreed. I keep a blanket in the back of the truck cab for the kids and toss it over.

I just bought a Vertx Ready Pack with a few of their tactigami organizers. It is an awesome pack. I wanted this earlier this year but waited on their Black Friday sale. I can say it would have been well worth the full price but 30% off helps. They are offering their whole website at 25% off currently which is still great. I’m still working on the contents of the bag.

Shout out to @RR for the Velcro holster

Use something similar by Maxpedition. Holds G19 and various tools and needs if I go out of town. Easy to throw in car.
Does say "GUN" though.

Ooo, the Versipak is buy 1 get 1 free!

Edit - That's funny, I carry a G19 in mine too. :)

If you’re looking for something low key I run a vertx ready pack 2.0, osprey also has some nice bags but are more hiking themed. The vertx has most inner panels are capable of taking hook and loop and it also has a molle panel that would work great for a qrf bag if you’re traveling and run into a situation.

Not sure if everyone knows this, but Maxpedition has a 'SPECIAL OFFERS' page.

Right now they have a couple nice bags for closeout sale.

I'm big and ugly. I don't blend into crowds as it is.

:(

So, I might as well have a folded AK with spare mags in slightly military looking bag.

:)

Pictured is Eberlestock's Switchblade bag that I've been using for work the last year. (Not my actual bag)

I have bought a couple of Vertx products lately (knowing they have already been mentioned) and their modularity with the Tactigami setup is huge. I've NEVER liked any of the premade "organizers" that come in most packs-you know the black nylon mesh with a bunch of pockets that may or may not fit a couple or few of my items, and the rest go unused.

Maxpeditions quality has gone down in the last few years

I think non military look is the way to go but quality is something to watch out for. I have a CamelBak Radio Operator (Mother load?) pack that I have been using for years and it is still in great shape. I also have a Mule 3 that I have been abusing for years that is still in use. Outdoor Products and Jan Sport are priced lower and are pretty good too. FWIW a AKM with a folding stock fits in a lot of backpacks.
