Engine Block/battery tender connection

Did you link the right thing? I dont see anything with BT connection on that in the pictures on the left side
 
Got one of those on my Ram Cummins. It makes it really nice when plugging it in the winter and I do not have a cord hanging out the front.

I was going to say the same about my F350. Tho the one above is a good bit cheaper than the marine grade shore power plug I bought 10 years ago.

It is basically an extension court that you could plug what ever into to including a mounted battery tender.
 
I've seen block heaters that are almost 15a. The issue is you put more connections and wires inline.

I like the port but it would be best to hardwire the heated directly to the port.

Maybe on a big rig. I know the cummins is around 750 watts or about 6 amps.

Probably, you could be correct. I've seen many heater connections melted at the port. The heat could be because of a current load or corrosion at the connection. It's difficult to determine at the point where it's a block of burnt/melted plastic. Me, I try to keep the connections to a minimum.

I was just working on a perfect example of this. A guy bought a boat and told me the nav lights never worked. One look at the switch bank showed the ground run all melted to other wires. Luck has it I'm only rebuilding the ground run. The other wires were able to be saved.
