I had high hopes for these but apparently they are hot garbage. Don’t maintain zero, glass falls out, etc.

I was hoping Sage Dynamics would have done a more in depth review like his other ones but it’s better than nothing.

Makes me wonder why big optics companies like Eotech and Vortex can’t make a good pistol MRD yet Chinese companies like Holosun excel.
I read and watched all the Sage Dynamics and got Holosuns. My 407C has badly lost zero despite being properly mounted, torqued, and loctited. Even the Aimpoint P2s seem to have massive reliability issues. I'm not sure pistol optics are quite good enough yet.

There’s always a lemon with any manufacturer, how they handle it is what makes the company worth buying from IMO, assuming they also have a good reliably track record to begin with obviously.

I think pistol optics are definitely good enough and they just keep getting better. I have….🤔 12 I think pistols with optics on them right now from most of the big names (Holosun, Trijicon and leupold) never had an issue yet.

RMR/SRO won’t do you wrong.

I've had my rmr for like 5+ years, carried and shot it so much that the anno has worn off and exposed bare aluminum. Been shooting holosun dots for nearly as long (since released basically), 10's of thousands of rounds on them. I really don't know why people would buy anything else except for the cLoSeD eMiTtEr guys, I guess I get it, just don't really care.

The acro is promising but Steve Fisher / sentinel concepts has killed a ton of them, the 509t's evidently have moisture intrusion issues, so I'm happy to keep rocking my rmr and 407/507s.

While I agree that those are both quality pistol optics. IMHO, Holosun has surpassed Trijicon in the pistol optics arena. Trijcon was the pioneer in quality pistol optics, but it’s like they just stopped trying to innovate and not listening to the end users. But still solid optics I’m not arguing that at all.

That’s everyone’s complaint. People who cry about the bottom loading battery make me laugh. If you shoot 5x a year, you probably don’t need the rmr durability, just get a DPP or some top/side loading whatever.

If you shoot all the time, changing the battery and rezeroing once a year is nothing to whine about.

I understand people want “new cool features” but I just want a dot that works and won’t break. Don’t really see what else it’s supposed to do 🤷🏻‍♂️

My real issue with the ACRO is that it costs $599 (if you can find it in stock). Yes, you get what you pay for but optics on pistols are moreso a luxury instead of a necessity compared to optics on rifles in my opinion. I do prefer closed emitter optics and I’ve had good success with the 509T that has a much more reasonable price of $350. Also tried out a Steiner MPS and it’s hot garbage in terms of battery life. The new EPS line from Holosun looks promising but I’m not thrilled about it using the RMSc footprint and the shitty little “backup iron sights” nubs on the back of the carry version.
