Hey everyone, I'm not trying to spread fear or anything but I just wanted to ask everyone to please be safe and vigilant tomorrow the 13th. If you haven't heard already the coward Hamas has ordered the followers of Hamas and supporters of them and Palestine to have a world wide "day of Jihad" and to attack Americans, Jews, and supporters of both all around the world. I usually don't worry about those threats but after Saturday and what is going on at all the colleges and cities in the USA I don't want to take a chance. So everyone else please be safe and keep your eyes open and if you see something, say something. Better to be safe than dead. God bless you all and remember to pray for the people who are held hostage in Gaza, their families, and for the people in Israel.
 
I agree with everyone not giving into fear and is definitely why I said that I'm not trying to spread fear or anything like that. I'm still going to live my life the same way I always do, with a Bible in one hand and my gun in the other. I just want everyone to be safe and vigilant while you are out with your family and everything and don't let the piece of sh_t Hamas supporters take advantage of you or catch you off guard. I will never live in fear of living my life the way I choose, or not do something that I want for fear of a jihadis coward that hides in the shadows and behind innocent people. I spent 8 years killing jihadis like this overseas when in the military with no regrets, so I will definitely not have a problem with doing it anytime I have to in my own country to protect my family and loved ones from their coward attacks against babies and children and other defenceless people if they try. People have a right to protest their views even if they are to support something I don't believe in. But they don't have a right to attack Americans, Jews, or anyone else just because they exist and I will stop that in it's tracks or die trying if it happens in my backyard. De Oppresso Liber!!!

But seriously though I have a strong and unshakable faith in God and Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, but I also have a strong and unshakable ability to defend and protect my faith, family, and country. Being a Christian doesn't mean you turn the other check every time you are attacked, nor will I. I'm more of a old testament Christian that believes in eye for eye, blood for blood, life for life. For those who say vengeance is mine so says the Lord, I agree. But the Lord works in mysterious ways and the Lord can use me as his instrument of vengeance if needed. Christ was the Lamb of God when he died for our sins, the second coming of Christ will be a warrior King with his army of God and faithful warriors in Christ with him to destroy the evil at the battle of Armageddon. So I don't think our Lord and Savior wants us to let ourselves be attacked for our faith or the attacks on the Jews without fighting back. Peace be steal, and I have a few pieces of steel in different calibers lol.

Exactly, but don't forget about the chairs for the table. They are good for breaking over someone's head or back too. Lol
 
It's tough to make a biblical case for self defense, except to say that we are to fight evil.

Actually, if you think about it, "turn the other cheek" is a polite way of saying, "Stand your ground."

I like to add the Non-Aggression Principle, which states, "Never initiate force."
So, after turning the other cheek and receiving a strike on it, give 'em hell!

incorrect. they were scolded for using the swords before it was necessary, and trying to supersede the plan of God.
They were encouraged to have swords, or go get them even if it meant they had to make uncomfortable sacrifices. He had only just told them that a bit before, because He knew that they may soon be walking in the world without the benefit of the group and need to fight.

I'm glad you said murder and not kill. There's a big difference between the two. You kill because you have to in order to live or protect yourself and others. You murder when you take a life for no reason. God never said don't kill, he actually commands the opposite in many occasions in the Bible. He said "love your neighbor" and "a new commandment I give you, love one another as I have loved you". The commandment on killing was actually "Thou shall not commit murder " not kill. The proof is in the Bible when God commands Saul, David, Abraham, Solomon, etc to kill the Philistines, Babylonians, Egyptians, Sodomites, Gomorians, etc. He on a few times said kill everything and everyone in the cities when the Israelites concurred a city or province. God will not tell you to do something then damn you for doing it but people have always twisted the word of God for their own views and gains.

But I will say that the Muslim religion is supposed to be a religion of peace and prosperity in spirit but is in practice and reality the most violent and destructive religion on the planet. They try to say it's Jihad because they have to go attacked the infidels that are the Jews and Christians as Mohammed their Prophet. But they are wrong about their own reasons and religion. If they really understood their Karan they would know that Mohammed never went out and attacked Jews and Christians for Jihad against the infidels. He only fault for 2 months because he was being attacked by infidels which are not described as Jews or Christians and in fact were most likely Arabic attackers from the other tribes because in the year 700AD there was no Christian or Jewish threat in that area in Meca and didn't even come close to the area until around 1096AD when the first Crusade to Jerusalem happened with the Christian Church and the Jews had been scattered all over the world after the fall of Jerusalem and destruction of the second temple of God in 70CE by the Romans. So that pretty much proves Jews and Christians are not the infidels. But when Mohammed was attacked in his own home he did declare a jihad as a defense to protect himself and destroy his attackers which the real meaning of Jihad as preached by Mohammed was the unconditional and no rules of war destruction of the enemy as SELF DEFENSE against a attacking force to defend yourself. Like I said before people twist religion and teachings to promote their own views and gains. This BS Jihad crap they are doing now is really the opposite of the Islamic religion and if you go by their Prophet Mohammed and the Karan, Hamas and isis are the real infidels because they are attacking everyone else unprovoked. So maybe we Christians and Jews need to declare a jihad on their asses?

I'm not a Muslim or anything but a Christian but the reason I know about this stuff is I actually read the Karan when overseas with a translator we had during my deployment to compare it to the Christian Bible and found a lot of hippocratic BS in the belief of the terrorist compared to the Karan and real Islamic religion. I even found out that the Islamic religion believes in Jesus Christ and he is in the Karan with Moses, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Isaiah, and many more. But they believe Jesus Christ was a Prophet like Mohammed and not the son of God and that Christians distorted the teachings of Jesus Christ who is also recognized as a Jews in the Karan and a Prophet of God by their faith. I find that the fact that they recognize Jesus Christ as a Prophet of God and honor his teachings and accept him as a Jew but the terrorist and Islamic extremest say kill all Jews lol. They are literally contradictory to there own religion that they are raging wars over and it's pathetic to me and why I have always said that they don't care about religion but just want to control everyone and everything that they can and kill or destroy what they can't control.

Sorry for the rant lol, but I have had that built up inside me and wanting to come out for over 12+ years now and I couldn't take it anymore lol.

It's not cheating as long as you are not changing it for your own benefits. I will never say someone cheated by reading or posting scriptures. There should be more of that in the world. It's not hard to see why the world is going to hell lately compared to the past. They've been slowly removing God and the word of God everywhere in the world, but when everything horrible happens everyone asks why did God let this happen? It's because you forget God, God will forget you.

I read a short story awhile back about a little girl that was killed in a school shooting and when she went to heaven she asked God why wasn't he there to protect her? God said " Well sweetheart I can't go in the school building to save you because nobody wants me in the school's"

That has stuck with me for a long time and is sad but so true.

I believe you missed the whole meaning of that passage. Hereā€™s ā€œThe Messageā€ version and it explains a little better than NIV or KJV.

He is telling them that itā€™s easy while He(Jesus) is with them. Theyā€™ve had Jesus with them for a while now and itā€™s been pretty easy compared to what is coming and Him dying, raising to life then going to Heaven with the Father. Then times will be tougher and theyā€™ll need to be prepared. Not with a literal sword but with the sword of God(Godā€™s word/Spirit). Heā€™s not telling them that 2 swords is enough. He means thatā€™s enough talking about swords. They didnā€™t get it.

Matthew 10:34 says ā€œDo not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.ā€
Sword meaning a weapon with divides and severs. The Word of God! Not a piece of metal.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

There will be conflict between good and evil, light and darkness, the children of God (believers of Christ) and the children of the devil (those who refuse Christ). We should seek to be at piece with all people but Jesus warned us that following Him means that we will be hated for His sake. Those who reject Him, will hate His followers as well. John 15:18.

I struggle a lot with carrying a gun. A few years ago I was put in charge of our security team at church. It didnā€™t take long and I was convicted. I was idolizing my carry gun more than God. I was trusting it to save me and my family more than I was trusting God to. I found myself and others on the team profiling people when they walk through the doors and that is not how Jesus taught us to act. He welcomes everyone. He loves everyone. He hates the sin but still loves the person. The security team was quickly dismantled and later revised to more of a welcome team. Iā€™m not saying we donā€™t have a some security but we will not go against Godā€™s word. We wonā€™t profile/ judge someone. Most of what we watch out for is divorce situations, abuse and we currently have to watch out for a certain stalker. As a ā€œwelcome teamā€ we meet and great everyone that walks in. If they are new then we trying to find out more about them and welcome them.
