I would go with the X Macro. With this pistol, all you need to do is buy a XL or standard 365, a couple mags and you can easily switch between the full size X Macro to the smallest standard p365.
I have a 365 SAS. Could you explain exactly what you buy and what you change to make it a full size X Macro?

The frame and mags are offered individually. But, I believe the X Macro uses a longer slide than the ā€œnormalā€ P365.

The X Macro has an XL-length slide with ports cut out the top with an X-length barrel and sight radius. The frame is longer than the X/XL. So off the top of my head you could use the barrel and FCU from an SAS but nothing else...also not sure if the takedown and slide stop from the SAS would work with the Macro frame since they're bobbed...

The SAS fcu has a different take down lever and slide lock. Not sure they would work with any of the other standard frames.

To clarify... I saw a post that said Buy This HiCap Mag, It Comes With Stuff That Works With Any 365. But it wasn't real specific about what to buy, What is that product, and which 365s does it work with?

Yeah Sigs are definitely not for the poors! šŸ˜‚
The P365xl 15rd mag is $39 at PA for me. $45 is about my limit. I'm a mag junkie so it gets stupid when they're that high. If I were to buy a Macro (I won't until Gen 7 comes out in a few weeks with the ambi slide release) it would be a $1300 buyout just for the gun and mags.

If the OP is otherwise happy with his SAS, he can simply add the mags to his kit as I did. They come with everything necessary to fit properly into any 9mm P365 variant. The XMacro has a very different feel from the P365/X/XL versions. I didnā€™t warm to it immediately. I found the 17-rnd mag with grip extension on my P365 not to feel noticeably worse to my hand. However, Iā€™d try to find an XMacro to handle before making a choice; everybodyā€™s different.

Yeah, the XMacro mags are expensive at $60 direct from Sig, but by buying two:
1. I didnā€™t have to wait for them to be back in stock elsewhere.
2. I got free shipping, which makes up most if not all the difference to the price shipped from most other vendors.
3, I can think about getting the grip frame later. Iā€™m betting you can trim down one Pic slot and it will work fine with the standard P365 slide/barrel, maybe after tapering the front corners slightly, but YMMV.

My original post pictures the mags and all their parts:

One further thing about the new mags: They have a new orange follower (not sure why), but it isnā€™t as nicely molded as the original black followers of the P365/X/XL mags. It seems a little cruder & draggier. The springs are as _stiff_ as on the original series magazines.

I did disassemble both mags, wipe them lightly down inside & out with Ballistol, and reassemble with the longer grip extensions, but I havenā€™t had time to function test them yet. Will report after I do.

With a 365 macro you canā€™t make it small again like the original 365 configuration. But, you can add the 17 round mag for capacity or as a spare. Me personally I have a few of the 15 round mags I keep handy to go with the 12 round mag in the gun or if I need to be discreet the 10 round one
