I didn’t even know this was a thing but found out about it recently. My Boss, who likes guns but isn’t really a “gun person” likes to go to the local gun store/range and rent things to shoot on weekends. I guess she really liked the Daniel Defense ISR and just decided to buy it. She told me about it at work the next Monday and I was “that’s awesome, but Ma’am, you have orders to PCS out of state next month…”

She went back to the shop and told them about her orders and they said they could submit for an expedited approval. I didn’t really think she would get it back approved before having to leave but sure enough she got the call the other day. 5 weeks from submitting to the approval for her Form 4.

Now I wish I had some deployment orders I could submit with…..hmmm, would it actually be a crime to PDF magic up some bogus orders to submit🤔🤔🤔….(Just Kidding ATF, FBI, NSA agents)

Haha, yeah, wouldn’t be choice, and I’m surprised DD hasn’t changed that rail to MLOK by now, but honestly I’m positive she doesn’t even know what the holes on the handguard are even for.

Are you required to have orders or can you just submit with proof you are active duty and could be deployed at the drop of a hat?

Has to actually be a situation where an expedite is required. A potential move isn’t one of those situations.

They also do it for LEO transfers (for duty use, not for the individual). Also can happen if a dealer is giving up their SOT and some other sticky legal situations.

Yes she had to provide a copy of her orders.

They have an MLOK rail, but you can’t attach MLOK accessories in some areas on that gun due to the spacing between the rail and suppressor. You could probably force it, but it would have a good bit of pressure on the hand guard and on the suppressor at the MLOK bolts. It does look better with the MLOK hand guard, but don’t expect to attach much to it.
