F150 recall

Hey guys....Ford has a recall on seat belt tensioners on F150s....quite a few of them too!
They can get so hot that they start fires! 17 cases in U.S. and 6 in Canada if I remember correctly from the article I saw. I call today to see if DS was affected, but Ford's computer was down. Most affected were trucks built in Dearborn, MI....which is where DS was built.

Some tensioner were made be Tenaka the airbag company and the rest from Germany.
Too bad they can't make those parts in the USA.
Did not know they have pyrotechnic charges to lock the tensioner when airbag deploys.

Why yes, yes they do. It is amazing what the common auto contains that can be repurposed.
