Fallout Amazon Series

Watched the first episode last night... and I'm pretty confident I know who the black raider woman is and how she's 'related' to the other characters.

I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

And Dear Amazon,

Please stop showing me men butts after a nudity warning.

Especially when the lead girl is cute.

There's some ugly flappy saggery later in the series. The only set you don't see is Lucy's.

Anybody playing the mobile game “Fallout Shelter”? It’s a resource management sides scrolling game. It’s a good time killer. There’s some free stuff on it now in celebration of the series.

It's the only phone game I have :D great way to pass some time if your stuck sitting still for extended periods of time. The wasteland quests sometimes have a good story line to them also. 1000012850.jpg

I just got Lucy and the black ghoul, but I’m stuck at 60 dwellers. Can’t get them to have many babies right now. Any tips? Looks like you have a large population.

It gets complicated at higher volume population because it's hard to tell who's siblings / parents.. and naturally also thankfully, siblings / parents won't breed lol. So it's a bit of trial and error dropping 2 dwellers in the living quarters and checking to see if they get flirty right away or say something like "it's so nice being at home with family" then grab one out and try another..the process moves along quicker if you use dwellers with higher charisma. Otherwise, I have a radio station with 4 dwellers running it that brings in a dweller atleast once a day.

Also make sure you have enough living space/upgraded living space/jobs for everyone to do, but you probably already know that.

Also fair warning, after 80+ dwellers, it gets to be a chore trying to keep them all happy, notice my happiness level is only 81% 😅

Good info, thanks!

Quoted for importance
There are a couple topless ladies later on, but it's not anything "titillating"

Wife and I finished it tonight. I gotta say, they did a great job of replicating the fallout world. I really liked the story and the characters. Yeah, they threw a few woke things in there, but it wasn't anything I can't ignore. I hope they continue it with another season.

Now, let's go House of Dragons!!!

IMO, New Vegas was the darkest addition to the series...they could really benefit the show if they bring the spirit of that particular game alive in season 2.

Somewhat off topic, but if you like game series with dark story lines, try Bioshock. I think we enjoyed that series almost as much as Fallout. Now that I think about it, we were watching something on TV and my wife said, "My big daddy is better than your big daddy"... a line from the game.

"Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow?"

i’m only 2 episodes in and like it way better than the halo series that came out last year
Stop watching Halo. Season 2 has Master Cheif sidelined without his armor and it's like 6 episodes of drama. Super lame.

It's funny, i played Systemshock way back in the day on pc. Before we got starlink up, I bought the Bioshock Collection on sale and was giving it another go on ps5. Definitely a dark and dreary game and love audio diaries side of it. I had started Bioshock 1 on Xbox 360, but was already in to other games at the time, traded it off to a friend years ago.

Put another temporary pause on it to play 76 some more, but I'll pick it back up before to long. Left off in the Arcadia section of the first game.

Found this floating around without any credit. Possibly fan made, with an excessive amount of effort put in to it..

I'm still a believer Thaddeus was given FEV to heal his foot, and will turn in to a Super Mutant, not a ghoul like Maximus suggests. so I'm going to hope this is the anticipated look of Super Mutants in the show.

Given the provided scale, he looks a bit massive, but not big enough to be a Behemoth. Maybe just more large than a suit of power armor, which makes plenty of sense.

I'd like to file this away in my mind as a possibility of what's to come for season 2.

Dear Amazon... I just finished the series...

Har har...funny.

You A**holes.

I'd think season 2 coming 12 months is being very optimistic, 2 years more likely..Netflix pulled off the 2nd season of the Witcher in 2 years, so that would be my guess. I think we can expect multiple seasons to come from this show.. There's definitely not a shortage of directions to send the characters off in, they'll have no issues inventing plot lines.

Better they take their time and get it right.

That's also how I feel about Fallout 5...2030+ if fine, if they do it justice. A Reddit post forever ago suggested an internal source cited FO5 project as " nuclear 'winter' " and hinted Alaska/Pacific northwest as the projection...but that was before the nuclear winter update came for 76, so that could have been a misinterpretation/misrepresentation ment to throw off fans.

I have not read the thread.

As a non-gamer who has zero info about this “world”, will I be able to follow and enjoy this show?
Easily, the only thing you'll 'miss' is the 'Easter eggs' and some of the decades old attraction that brings many of the fans to the universe.

I would say, yes. You won’t appreciate some of the back story cannon and perhaps the music, ut it stands on its own.

without a doubt
they explain it ALL well enough that you'll get what's going on, without having to dig through abandoned shelters/town and listen to holotape recordings in-game to know what's up.

Nothing more gut wrenching, and sometimes tear jerking in the written notes in game. Something the show doesn't and likely couldn't fully capture, but sometimes I really regret seeing the pieces of paper and having to know what they say. 1000013043.jpg1000013042.png

In FO 76 I found this to be true. quests like the girl that was trying to analyze and purify water and the BOS kept showing up and demanding she hand over her work. You finally find her corpse at the ice cream shop after reading the letter to the boyfriend asking to meet up where they had their first date. Another one was finding the mistress of mysteries corpse and following their quest line through to where you find the mother and daughter killed each other after killing off the entire group of orphans they took in and trained to survive.

Yeah 76 took the notes to another level, I think because many of the 'good reads' are pre-war/day of/following the bombs dropping. Fallout 4 and the show are really the only times we were given a visual of the madness and disarray going on as the bombs dropped. Mix that with the amount of notes written by someone waiting for someone else, corpses found with the notes/lead to from the notes, or notes found with no follow up...takes a seemingly empty place and gives back life to it, arguably better than most of the holotapes.
