I had a 1952 IH M300...Tricycle type like yours. That was a great machine.
And my little 1948 IH cub.
The previous owner had somehow managed to keep the original owners manuals, which explained in detail how to repair every single part on the tractor yourself. That always tickled me, since now-a-days all the manual says is 'see authorized dealer'.
This was in Bowling Green Ohio. Those of you who follow the Tractor Pulls know what this place is..the Super Bowl.
Pretty astounding seeing tractors with 3 jet engines, 4 Rolls Royce V16 aircraft engines, or 5 Chrysler Hemi's. No matter how much they dug in the sled, these rigs would do the 300 feet no problem, so it became a matter of how fast they could. I do believe they could have pulled the sled all the way to Kentucky.
