I ordered some ammo from Norma.
They ship FedEx.
Shipment disappears between Durham and Angier.
I call a few days after shipment doesn't show up.
FedEx says they will look into it.
Shipment tracking changes from Delayed to Delivered.
It was not delivered.
I open a claim with FedEx, it was denied since the package was sent No Signature Required.
Their records show delivered so they are absolved.
Anyone in a similar situation able to work through this successfully?
Or am I out 220.00?
Thanks

Dispute it with your CC company

Tried.
They won't help since what I payed for was actually shipped.
They only will help with things like fraud etc...

FedEx keeps telling me to call and dispute with shipper (Norma) who has done all they will do already.
This falls squarely on FedEx and they are failing.

The shipper needs to file a claim and reimburse you. I would call the CC back explain the seller is not being helpful etc.. try to get them to file a dispute. Norma will make it right from there.

I lost 4 lancer mags (funny neon green) I ordered from a Classic Arms (and paid for shipping insurance). I never saw them either. FedEx said they delivered them because the GPS on the truck said they were there … no signature or such either just the driver said so and the GPS backed him up. I would have to prove they were not delivered which is basically impossible since how do you prove something that didn’t happen? Anyway, FedEx said nope and Classic like a little pansy didn’t do anything either so I was SOL.

I did dispute it with my VISA company and they are investigating it so I’m hoping at least the charge will be reversed. The CS at VISA was great but said it would be 30 days since the business had a chance to respond … lately I’m almost expecting to get hosed by Classic and it’s manager telling some BS and VISA not reversing it.

Already tried with Norma. They did all they will do.
Package was in possession by FedEx, through several stops, so not sure why Norma would do anything else.
Again...FedEx fail.
I will call them again Monday.

Thanks for the replies.

Need to just go have a drink and realize it's not worth getting so upset over.

I am sure most get delivered just fine.
Norma told me they cancelled their insurance with FedEx on Jan 6 due to this issue.
Kinda sounds like my Classic fuster cluck.

Funny thing is my Mail guy and UPS are great. They always place packages on the side porch … same place every time … and try to make sure all packages are tucked under the bench. If either deliver a package I pretty much know it’s done as best as the route driver can do … but with FedEx who knows? I will do my damnedest to not have stuff sent FedEx from now on up to paying more for a different shipping option.

FuddEx are theives.

You got a RING camera...or any other security camera??? Did FedEx just drive down your street ( so GPS would confirm delivery) but driver never actually got out of vehicle and delivered them???? Hmmmm
He could be keeping packages for himself or selling on ebay....
If Your camera footage shows no delivery during the time they say they were delivered....case closed...you win!

Need to go back to signature required. They drop stuff off here all the time (USPS) mostly and I am in the house yet they never even ring the door bell.

Was in the driveway one day when the mail lady drove in handed me a package and checked it off as delivered. As she is backing out I noticed it wasn't even my package. It was for a house down the road.

Any chance there is another home with the same numeric as yours? There is another house with the same number on another street in the development. Post office sends our mail to each other, same for packages.

Basically the same thing happed to me several weeks ago.

I get that a lot too. We get packages for a house with the same numbers as us but a completely different road name.

Fedex delivery people can mark C-19 for the signature themselves due to social distancing and virus transmission concerns
all they need to do is type in the name of the person that "accepts" it. you know, like the name on the label.
by their policy, that means you got it and acknowledged receipt.
we've had this problem...

I feel your pain. We had three packages delivered this week, two boxes of coffee and one box with 1500 projectiles. The boxes of coffee were left near the road, heavily traveled, approximatly 75' from my front porch at the base of two brick light columns on two different days. My box of projectiles was placed on the porch at the front door. I am going to start checking when we place an order and if they are shipping FedEx and not willing to switch to someone else I will cancel the order. Like in so many other situations, it's a shame a few sorry people will give a bad name for all the others.

Had the opposite happen. Was expecting an ammo delivery, but FraudEx ALWAYS delivers late in the evening. I got a notification the delivery was delayed for a day. Was checking my email at a jobsite at lunch, and was pleasantly surprised my ammo had been delivered about 11am. I checked the ring camera, and it was 20' from my door, sitting on the PUBLIC SIDEWALK on a PUBLIC STREET....I LIVE IN TOWN! I immediately called my daughter, and she went out and grabbed it to bring inside. I called FX, and they said there was no issue... it was delivered... really!?!

I had a fedex driver forge my signature and leave a gun on my porch. Luckily for me, my daughter was home and it was her gun. So I had her get it. But when I called the manager I informed him that his driver forged my signature while I was on I40 around Statesville and I had to have my daughter get it. So his driver forged a signature and left a firearm in the possession of a minor. He got really quite on that one. He was not happy.

FeX forged my signature and left a Shadow2 OR on the steps with no one home as well.

When Colt shipped two separate 1911s back to me (that I managed to break) they were left on the porch both times as I recall. Fed Ex

Fedex sucks and I will not ship with them ever again. I got a large package from them the other day that the outer box was soaking wet and about to burst open. I've gotten delivery notifications from them before and the package was on the truck out for delivery but the jackass driver went back to Durham depot instead of delivering it because it was 5pm. Ive caught them coming to the door with a delivery attempt door sticker instead of the package. WTF? Ive caught them going down my sidewalk back to their truck after leaving a delivery attempt sticker. They never rang the door bell. WTF? They accepted a package from me that I prepaid. They weighed it and accepted it and then a week later, I get a email saying they doubled the price they originally charged me because they had to repackage it after they tore open the packaging that I used which is what the original shipper used and is designed for return shipping. I could go on forever. As to the OP, it is my understanding that if the shipper did not get a delivery signature, proof of delivery, the burden is on them.

I will call everyone again on Monday.
Norma sees package as delivered.
FedEx sees package as delivered.
My bank won't do anything since this isn't considered fraudulent.
Thanks for all the replies, will be interesting to see if anyone takes responsibility.
Not the end of the world, just disappointing.

My latest story doesn’t involve FedEx but an OTR freight carrier. Ordered a piece of equipment and waited months for it to come into stock and ship. One evening, my wife comes home and asks, “What’s the deal with that huge thing out at the street?”.

I drive out there and find the trucker just dumped the $1400 item at the street rather than coming down the driveway or calling. I’m pretty sure the 27 X 27 X 42 carton wouldn’t have lasted long had she not noticed it. 🤬

FedEx delivers a ton of my job material to my home and subcontractors. I can’t say we have ever really had a problem. Sorry this has happened to you.

I would try again with the CC company if the vendor tells you to eat it. You paid the vendor to get ammo to your house. If that didn’t happen then they didn’t fulfill the agreement. FedEx is their problem not yours.

Strangely FedEx has been getting it right
On my orders.
Only if it's UPS do I get to play a rousing game of guess which house

Freight carriers don't play. When they say drop ship, they mean it. You can't even pay most of those guys extra to move it past the back of the truck.

It's a bank issued debit card.
That’s your issue, all they are concerned with is fraud. This likely doesn’t fall under the conditions of fraud.

An actual credit card, you could do a charge back for unsatisfactory “service” and they (the CC company) would look at both sides (as long as the vendor responds during the window they allow, generally 30 days from the initiation of the chargeback) and make a decision.

I will almost guarantee, had you paid with a CC and initiated a chargeback, the vendor would be filing a claim with the carrier (most of the time the shipping party has to file a claim) and either getting your package found, or reshipping your order and settling up with the carrier on their own time.

Curbside in the fine print on the BOL.

Next step….make him really unhappy.
Say that delivery of a weapon to a minor and forging a signature is a crime and you don’t know what to do about it.
then ask what he suggests….

it is time these asswipes be held accountable… if the roles were reversed and there was an issue with something you did or did not do they wouldn’t let you off —
